Dear Friend,
Thank you for the copy and your review of my book. I still think I use superlatives a little too much, but I leave it to your good judgment. I hope you will not encounter any hurdles at the office of The Banner, but knowing the present editor's great fondness for his "uncle John" and seeing what you say about the old fellow I can see Lester winces a bit. We will be waiting to see what happens.
We got here after a few days en route with our daughter and her family on schedule last Wednesday. It snowed there! And here it is warm and dry. It has been above 90° every afternoon since we came. The nights are lovely.
We still think back to the nice evening spent at your home. It was pleasant, and leerzaam (instructive).
How did it go with Mrs. Maaselink's father?
